Undecane (also called pentadecane) is a liquid alkane with the chemical formula CH3(CH2)9CH3. It is used as a mild sexual attractant for various types of moths and cockroaches, as well as an alarm signal for various types of ants. It has 159 isomers.

Undecane can also be used as an internal standard for gas chromatographic analysis of other hydrocarbons. Since the boiling point of undecane (196 °C) is well known, it can be used as a comparison of the retention times in the gas chromatograph of the molecule whose structure has just been elucidated. For example, if a 50 m cross-linked methyl silica gel capillary column is used, and the temperature of the column oven starts to rise slowly from 60 °C, then 11 carbon molecules such as undecane can be used as internal standards to compare the retention times of other 10-, 11- or 12-carbon molecules, depending on their structure.
