2, 4, 6-Tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol is an amine-based trimerization catalyst for rigid polyisocyanurate with delayed reaction. Flash point: 150°C; specific gravity (25°C): 0.97; water solubility: soluble in water
DMP-30 properties edit
2, 4, 6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol, referred to as DMP-30, has a molecular formula of C15H27N3O. It appears as a light yellow transparent liquid with a boiling point of about 250°C. It has an amine odor and is easily soluble in organic solvents. Cold water, slightly soluble in hot water.
DMP-30 can be used
alone as epoxy resin curing agent or accelerator. When used alone as epoxy resin curing agent, the amount of E44 added is about 10%, and when used as an accelerator, the amount used is about 0.1%-3%.
Storage and Preparation Edit
Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated and clean warehouse. Do not mix with acidic liquids. The rest should be stored and transported in accordance with general flammable chemical regulations. Precautionary instructions: Preventive measures: Preparation: Put phenol dimethylamine into
the
reactor
. Add formaldehyde dropwise at a controlled temperature, keep the reaction warm for a certain period of time, add an appropriate amount of sodium chloride, let it stand for stratification, separate the lower water layer, and remove the residual water under reduced pressure to obtain the target product. Start with gaseous dimethylamine, and use nitrogen to change the air in the kettle to get a relatively light-colored product.
